Hey guys! We’re on our way to Otakon, which was sort of planned at the very last minute. We’re going as regular con-goers, so we won’t have a table. This also means I won’t be able to get a new Kitsune Kiki page or Kyuukei out for this week, but I wanted to post some sort of art this Friday for you all. This particular piece was done a few months back for Udon Entertainment‘s Megaman Tribute Book, where they picked 300 art entries to be included in it. The judging was done by both Undon and Capcom, so the competition to get in was fierce. I had a small preview of what I did on my twitter feed, but I wasn’t able to show the finished piece until now. Not bad for a last minute entry, though they ended up extending the submission date for the contest anyway…
I had a feeling there would be a tons of group pictures and Roll pictures entered in the first place; I didn’t think I stood a chance. I did something right I guess!
If you guys like these types of quick art post that aren’t Kitusne Kiki related, I’ll try to do some more down the line. It might give me a good excuse to use my moldy old Deviantart account again.
As for Otakon, I’ll see if I can muster up enough energy to attempt to do a in depth con-report after. One things for sure, we’re all going to be dead tired coming and going to Baltimore; that’s certain.
We’re all happy to see  folks take a liking to using the comment features of our  new site. No one could be more happy then myself since developing and styling the thing took much time and hand cramps from coding.
We also wanted to remind everyone that we have a community forum that has been collecting dust since we re-lanched it again. We had a few folks sign-up during the site down-time, but only one new post so far, (Apart from the maintenance one I did). I’d really appreciate it if we could rekindle some activity in there again, if only for us to get to know any new fans to our site.
When we re-designed Angry Rabbit, I wanted to not only make posting new comics and blog updates easier, but also just interacting with fans and fans interacting with other fans more streamlined. Seeing that there’s a vibrant community to support us throughout the site makes adding new features and content feel much more fulfilling. Knowing that I’ll be helping Angry Rabbit Studios by adding more stuff that you guys can apprecate makes it all worth it.
So check and chat in the forum when you can. You’ll be helping the site a lot. ;)
Just a quick reminder. The Angry Rabbit Studios website will be going down on Sunday, May 1, 1:00 PM EST since we’ll be moving everything to the new server. It will take a bit of time to setup everything again after the move, so we should have the forum still up and running during the process.
This would be a great time to sign up for our community forums if you already haven’t. After the site move is done we’ll be making an effort to spure up more activity on the forum boards in general.
I have rearranged the forum sections into four sections: Angry Rabbit Studios News (Will have topics relating to events in Angry Rabbit Studios itself), General Discussion (Pretty much anything not Angry Rabbit Studios or Kitsune Kiki related go there.) and Kitsune Kiki (Pretty self explanatory!)
We’ll be posting more developments in the news board as the move happens. Stay tune and see you in the forums!
Welcome to 2011, coincidentally the year of the rabbit! I can safely say 2010 has probably been my most productive year in a long time. Dave, Ed, and I have all finally moved to our respective new homes and are settling in the best we can. Moving out was just one of things on my list of New Years resolutions to finally accomplish in the year 2010. Another one was to finally get this site fully updated.
It turned out to be a huge undertaking, and a bigger change for those familiar with Kitsune Kiki. I definitely want to thank all the Kitsune Kiki fans with their patience while I worked to get the new site up and running. It put my graphic and web design skills to the test in more ways then i could imagine. But It still amazes me to see something that was made from an concept in my head to a fully running website. There’s still work to be done though and thus another year of new resolutions to take care of.
Getting a working store for Angry Rabbit Studios is one of the first projects I want to compete this year for sure. Also to design some new merchandise to fill said store. The fan art and artwork from Kitsune Kiki will also be receiving it’s own section soon. We’re also trying to figure out how to go about the character profiles and such. I’ll need to upload some new artwork for the characters since my style has changed drastically since I drew the last batch.
And this is only the tip of the ice berg that will make this year truly the year of the Angry Rabbit! Looking forward to looking back on this year just as fondly as the last. Hope this 2011 has gone just as smooth for you as it has for us!
